Diana Hayden Biography
An Anglo Indian from Hyderabad, Diana Hayden was born and brought up at Secunderabad and attended St. Ann's High School there. Her family split up at a very young age, and her mother and brother moved to Bombay with her, while her father stayed back at Hyderabad. As a teenager, she was a tomboy, tall and gangly (she was 5.9 feet 13 yrs). She graduated from Osmania University hin English by correspondence.
Diana Hayden, the ravishing beauty walked away with the Femina Miss India, title and then swept the world off its feet by a repeat performance for India, of winning Miss World 1997. As Miss World, she became the name and face for L'Oreal and ambassador for CRY (Child Relief and You). And she has put India firmly on the world beauty map :: as a country that not only produces Mother Teresas but lovely Dianas as well.
She entered Bollywood with a minute role in 'Tehzeeb' (2003), followed by 'Ab Bas' (2004). Diana loves to play chess, horse riding, partying and driving people round the bend.
She then moved to Bangalore, and later to Bombay and earned her living by doing odd jobs, small time modeling, managing fashion shows, working her way through her studies without assistance from home. This made her a very independent and confident woman. Her break was her job with BMG, where she managed artists like Anaida and Mehnaz. It was Anaida who forced her to send her pictures for the Miss India Contest. She went on to win the Miss World Contest held at Seychelles in 1997.
She is the only Miss World to have won a hat-trick at the event (Miss Photogenic, Miss Beach-wear/swimsuite competition, Miss World 1997).

Early life and background
Diana Hayden was born in Hyderabad, India in a Anglo-Indian family. As a teenager, she was a tomboy, tall and gangly. She went to St.Anns High School, Secunderabad but dropped out in the 8th standard, due to circumstances.
She continued her studies through open schooling and correspondence and graduated from Osmania University in English.
Before modeling, she used to work for an Event management company called Encore. She then worked as a Public relations officer at BMG Crescendo where she managed careers for models Anaida and Mehnaz. After Anaida's recommendation, she filled in for the Miss India contest. After winning Miss India she proceeded to win the coveted Miss World title.
Career
Diana Hayden became popular after the 1997 Miss World pageant at 24. She became the third Indian woman to win the Miss World pageant. She entered Bollywood acting career in the Indian film industry.
Following her tenure as the global representative for the prestigious Miss World organization, Diana moved to the UK and studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She also studied at Drama Studio London, where she concentrated on the works of Shakespeare and earned a Best Actress nomination from the studio. In 2001, she made her screen debut in the film version of Shakespeare’s Othello in South Africa.
In 2006, Diana was signed by the Avalon Academy as the face of the Academy and currently serves as a celebrity guest lecturer for airline personnel training programs.
After failing to make a mark in Bollywood, Hayden moved to Los Angeles and devoted herself to social causes. In 2008, Diana Hayden became a wild card entry on the popular Indian show, Bigg Boss, which is based on the original Dutch show, Big Brother. She was voted out from Bigg Boss 2 house on the episode that aired on Nov 7th 2008.
She is the only Indian model ever to appear on International television modelling products (L`oreal ads were broadcasted in several countries such as London, Paris, Milan, New York etc.....). She fervently supports Child And Police—a rehabilitation project under Dr Reddy’s Foundation, Hyderabad, which is her pet project, where she is an advisor to the Board of the Foundation. The project deals with the police taking off children from the streets and educating them.
She has completed a 5-week course on Shakespeare at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London
and is engaged in a yearlong training at Drama Studio, London. The buzz, is that her director boyfriend, Kaizad Gustaad (of Bombay Boys fame) is scouting for the proper script to launch this world-famous beauty.
Diana finds the words 'marriage' and 'commitment' very daunting. She plans to give her best to her career and, only then will she go the family way.
