Anita Hassanandani, popularly known as Natassha is a popular Indian actress and a model. Anita has worked in a number of Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. She has also ruled the television industry for years before venturing into films. Born on April 14, 1981 in Mumbai, Anita attended the Avabai Petit School in Bandra, however she could not pursue higher studies owing to her acting assignments.

Anita began her career as a model and has appeared in several print advertisements and TV commercials including Sunsilk, Boroplus, BSNL Mobile, Parle Krackjack, Shilpa Kakwani Winter Collection, Naturelle Coconut Oil, Moov Painkiller and Sprite. She made her acting debut in Balaji Telefilms’s superhit family drama ‘Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii’ also featuring Urvashi Dholakia, Pankit Thakker and Hiten Tejwani in leading roles. The show was initially aired on Metro Gold channel and was later re telecasted on Star Plus, DD national and TV Asia.
Anita soon became a household name and then ventured into movies with Balaji Telefilms thriller ‘Kuch To Hai’ alongside Tusshar Kapoor, Esha Deol, Yash Tonk, Rishi Kapoor, Jeetendra and Moonmoon Sen. Directed by anurag Basu, the film was supposedly a combination of Hollywood thrillers ‘Scream’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. Anita shares a cordial professional and personal relationship with Ekta Kapoor and has been seen in many Balaji Telefilms ventures .In fact she also adopted the name Natassha on Ekta Kapoor’s advice and due to numerological reasons.
Anita Hassanandani was later seen in films like ‘Yeh Dil’ opposite Tusshar Kapoor, ‘Krishna Cottage’ alongside Sohail Khan, Ishaa Koppikar and Rati Agnihotri, ‘Silsilay’ alongside Tabu, Bhoomika Chawla, Riya Sen, Celina Jaitley, Divya Dutta, Rahul Bose, Jimmy Shergill, Ashmit Patel and Kay Kay Menon , ‘Dus Kahaniyan’ opposite Rohit Roy and in a special appearance with Eijaz Khan in ‘Just Married’ starring Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol in leading roles.
Anita has also worked in a few Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films including the 2001 release Telugu blockbuster ‘Nuvvu Nenu’. Starring Uday Kiran and Anita Hassanandani in leading roles, ‘Nuvvu Nenu’ was directed by Teja and produced by P. Kiran. tHe film received four Filmfare awards includingBest Film, Best Actor for Uday Kiran, Best Director for Teja and Best Music Director for R. P. Patnaik. Her other Telugu films include ‘Bhavani’ which is the remake of Hindi smash hit ‘Vaastav’, ‘Sreeram’ opposite Uday Kiran, ‘Nenupelliki Ready’ alongside Srikanth, ‘Ninne Istapaddanu’ opposite Tarun and ‘Thotti Gang’ opposite Naresh.
Anita Hassanandani appeared in the family saga ‘Kavyanjali’, playing the female lead opposite Eijaz Khan. A Balaji Telefilms production ‘Kavyanjali’ was aired on Star Plus and soon became the most popular TV soap. ‘Kavyanjali’ also marked the comeback of popular bollywood actress amrita Singh. Anita later featured in TV shows like ‘Kasamh Se’, ‘Kayamath’, ‘Kya Dill Mein Hai’, ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki’, reality shows like ‘Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi’ and ‘Dancing Queen’.
Anita Hassanandani was also seen in the celebrity reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi’ hosted by Akshay Kumar. Anita and other Indian divas namely Nethra Raghuraman, Urvashi Sharma, Aditi Govitrikar, Pooja Bedi, Sonali Kulkarni, Yana Gupta, Meghna Naidu, Anjana Sukhani, Deepanita Sharma, Vidya Malvade and Tapur Chatterjee performed dangerous stunts in the show. Anita was eliminated in episode 10 Treasure Hunt stunt. Nethra Raghuraman was declared the winner of the show, while Urvashi Sharma became the first runner up and Aditi Govitrikar became second runner up.
