Simran Biography
a popular Indian film actress was born in Mumbai on April 4, 1976 in Mumbai, India as the first daughter for Ashok Naval and Sharada Naval couple. She has two sisters (Monal and Jyoti Naval) and one brother named Sumit. She finished her B.Com graduation in Mumbai and started her career as a model. Simran is a talented classical dancer. She married her family friend Deepak Bagga in December 2003 and has two sons.
She was popular in Kollywood, Tollywood and Bollywood between the years 1995 and 2009. Her first debut Tamil film is V.I.P. Her some other superhit Tamil films are Nerukku Ner, Natpukkaha, Thullatha
Manamum Thullum, Kannethire Thondrinal, Jodi, Parthen Rasithen,
Thamizh, Pancha Thanthiram, Ramana, New, Vaali, Kannathil Mutthamittal and Varanam Ayiram. In the Tamil film Nerukku Ner (1997), directed by Vasanth, she acted with the popular Tamil film actor Soorya.
She is one who acted with many top heroes in Kollywood industry. Soorya, Kamalhaasan, Sarath Kumar, Ajeeth Kumar, Vijay, Vijaya Kanth, Prasanth and Arjun are some Kollywood film stars with whom she acted. She was also a successful Tollywood actress and acted with Telugu prominent actors like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh. Abbai Gari Pelli, Priya O Priya, Maa Nannaki Pell, Lahari, Autodriver, Seema Simham, Bava Nachadu and Annayya are some of her Telugu box office hits.
Her first Hindi film is Sanam Harjai (1995). Then she took supporting characters in many Hindi films like Muqaddar, Angaara and Agni Morcha. She also entered Malluwood in 1995 and her first Malayalam movie is Indraprastham in which she played opposite Mammotty.
Simran won many awards for her wonderful performance in Tamil films. She got Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress in 1998 for her great acting in Tamil film Thullatha Manamum Thullum. The other Tamil film ' Vaali' released in 1998 fetched her Cinema Express Best Actress award. She is also the winner of Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award and Cinema Express Best Actress award for great performance in 'Kannathil Mutthamittal' released in 2002.
